Our straight mute is a mix between a 1930s Ray Robinson straight and a 1940s Shastock...with our own little twist.  The base of the straight mute is removable!
 
The straight mute comes with 2 bases, with the added option of a buzz base 
 
-The smaller base provides a classic Robinson/Shastock fiber sound. 
 
-The larger base brightens the mute up a bit.
 
-Jazzer/Buzz base.  This base is a hybrid of a 1920s wondertone and an AP&M Buzz mute. This unusual buzzy sound is created by the 4 thin plastic diaphragms located on the bottom of the mute.
